What's Happening in the Community?

We are now well into the first month of 2009!  Our country has seen some big changes (both good and bad).  Now is a great time to think about buying a home.  Especially if you are a first-time homebuyer, there are several great reasons to think about taking the plunge:

1)  Home prices for starter homes are some of the lowest we've seen in a long time

2)  Interest rates are great right now!  Also, some of the lowest we've seen in a number of years

3)  There are some great incentives for first time homebuyers (you can't have owned a home in the last three years).  See my page titled "First Time Buyers" for more information. 

Even if you are currently a homeowner and are just thinking about moving up, or moving out -- now is a good time to buy.  Just think - your interest rate will probably be lower than you are paying now and, although you might not get the same amount for your current home as you would have a year or two ago, you will be buying on that same level.  And your property tax basis will be less as well.
